怡保防止虐待动物协会（ISPCA）主席宋伟钊指出，卫生部副部长李文材早前要所有非政府组织帮忙，收养所有流浪狗，然后让人领养，这对非政府组织而言非常吃力。

IPOH: The city is set to be the first in Malaysia to run a “Trap, Neuter, Microchip, Release” programme to control the stray animal population.
為令庇護所更具特色及吸引更多人加入支助和獻力，以改善庇護所現有的困境，怡保防止虐待動物協會（ISPCA）籌備了逾2個月進行的“開心樂園”壁畫和建設“教育課室”，現已可在庇護所看到初步成績了。
